Pango Music was born as a professional guitar manufacturing factory, with deep roots in the industry through years of OEM production for guitar brands worldwide. In 2014, we made a pivotal strategic decision: to shift our core focus from contract manufacturing to building our own line of in-house designed guitar products, and to create our very own independent e-commerce store to connect directly with creators and music lovers across the globe. While our long-term vision was centered on original, self-designed products, our initial launch lineup was built first and foremost around the real needs and demands of the global guitar market. That same year, we completed the initial product planning, research and development for our launch range, and rolled out the first version of our site under the domain www.chinamusicworld.com. While that initial domain was later retired and has since been released to the public for open registration, our unwavering vision to serve the global guitar community never faltered.
In 2016, we went back to the drawing board. We reimagined, redesigned, and rebuilt our entire platform from the ground up, with a laser focus on creating a seamless, dedicated home for guitar DIY enthusiasts everywhere. On January 11, 2017, we officially registered the domain www.guitarkit.shop, and launched the site for live internal and public testing that very same day. Over the following 6 days, we worked around the clock to refine every functional detail, resolve final technical bugs, and perfect the end-to-end user experience. On January 17, 2017, we completed all testing and debugging, and officially launched our fully rebuilt independent store to the global guitar community. At our official launch, PayPal was our one and only available payment method – a humble beginning, but one rooted in our unwavering commitment to putting product quality and our community first. In January 2021, we rolled out a comprehensive, ground-up redesign and full iterative upgrade of the entire website, creating the streamlined, user-centric version of www.guitarkit.shop you see and visit today. That site, and that core promise to prioritize our community, has remained the beating heart of Pango Music ever since.
Today, nearly a decade on from that landmark official launch, we are endlessly proud to serve thousands of passionate guitar DIY builders, professional musicians, independent guitar shops, dedicated fans, and beloved YouTube and Facebook creators across every corner of the globe.
